Robert Hilliker

Robert heavily utilizes his training in psychodynamic psychotherapy when providing services to patients. For him, this approach reflects a certain way of thinking about people in an integrative way. When working with people in therapy he often reflects with them on what is happening in the here-and-now of treatment. Often this provides helpful new insights for clients, since their past often informs their present experiences. They then work together to connect their past and present experiences into a cohesive narrative, which allows them new understanding as they work to craft the next chapter in life and in their relationships.

He specializes in working with professionals, such as attorneys, physicians, and helping professionals dealing with substance use, mental health, and co-occurring disorders. He also works with couples and families by using evidenced-based practices for creating healing in relationships.
